Prayer Service

PRAYER SERVICE

Prayer for Ourselves

Psalm 139:23–24 (NIV): “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

  • Prayer begins in the secret place of our own hearts…

  • “Lord, search me today. Forgive me where I fall short. Strengthen my faith, renew my spirit, and let my life bring You glory.”

Prayer for Our Families

Joshua 24:15 (NIV): “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

  • Joshua boldly declared who he would serve!

  • “Father, bless our families with unity, love, and protection. May our homes be places where Your Word is honored and Your Spirit dwells.”

Prayer for Our Church

Ephesians 4:15–16 (NIV): “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

  • The church is not a building, program, or club. It’s where life is discovered and lived.

  • “Lord Jesus, strengthen Your church. Fill our leaders with wisdom, empower us to serve, and help us be a light to the world.”

Prayer for Our Community

Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV): “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Matthew 5:14 (NIV): “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

  • “God of all nations, bless our community. Guide our leaders, heal divisions, and let Your kingdom come in our schools, workplaces, and streets.”

Pray for one another

James 5:16 (NIV): “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

  • Prayer strengthens the bonds of love in the body of Christ, and it releases healing — not just physical healing, but emotional and spiritual restoration as well.

  • “Lord, we lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ. Strengthen the weak, heal the hurting, encourage the weary, and deepen our love for one another. Make us a church that carries each other’s burdens in prayer and rejoices together in victory.”
