Welcome to Grove Kids

Grove Kids is a safe space where kids learn and grow together! Our mission is to walk alongside families and help equip them in leading and parenting their child as they grow in Christ. We focus on empowering parents with resources for at-home ministry and teaching kids the beauty of being part of Christ's community. As we live and grow together, our kids have lots of fun learning what it means to be in community together, discovering the sacred practices of living life with God’s people through God’s Word and by God’s Spirit.

FAQs

  • Grove Kids is offered during service every Sunday at 10:00 AM! We also offer Grown-ups Night Out once a quarter.

  • We use Orange Curriculum! We specifically chose this curriculum for its representation and understanding of children from all kinds of backgrounds, as well as its inclusion of kids with disabilities, trauma/past experiences, and complicated family structures. Orange Curriculum supports our mission to connect your child’s church life and family life. For more information about Orange, click here

  • We serve ages Birth - 5th Grade! In order for our amazing volunteers to be as intentional as possible and to ensure your child’s safety, we have separate classes for nursery, toddlers, preschool, & elementary-age kids.

    Nursery: Birth - 18 months

    Toddlers: 18 months - preschool

    Elementary: K-5th Grade

  • Check-in starts at 9:45! Once your child is checked in, they will be given a sticker with their name, info, and allergies. The guardian is given a sticker with a barcode for a safe check-out! Sunday mornings are a fun & safe environment for your child to grow in their faith. They will take part in age-specific activities to aid in learning about the weekly lesson.

  • Before serving, all volunteers are trained, background checked, and have completed our personalized safety course (MinistrySafe). The only adults allowed past the check-in desk and into the kids wing are approved & certified Grove Kids volunteers. This ensures that the only adults your child has interaction with during service and in our care are trained & background checked.

    We provide each parent & child with matching name tags to ensure a safe check-out! This name tag that your child will wear also includes important information that our volunteers need to know (allergies, health conditions, disabilities, etc.)

    All exterior & interior doors of the kids wing remain locked during service.

    There are safety precautions & procedures in place in case of a storm, fire, etc.

    We require at least two Grove Kids volunteers in each classroom at all times.

    We have bathroom procedures in place so that no volunteer and child are using the same restroom.

  • All Grove Kids volunteers are required to complete a background check, as well as complete a safety training program. Your child’s safety is our number one priority, so we make sure our volunteers are well-equipped.
