LIGHT MAKES SIGHT

Acts 9:3-6 (NLT)  ³ As he was approaching Damascus on this mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him. ⁴ He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”  ⁵ “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting!⁶ Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Ephesians 5:14(NLT)  "For the light makes everything visible”

  • When Christ comes into our life, He doesn’t merely ask us to behave differently—He calls us to think differently than the world. Faith in Christ leads to a renewed mind. We begin to discern what really matters, what truly lasts, and what pleases God.

  • Our faith will inevitably change our perspective on the world, and the revelation of the Spirit in us will change the way we live.

Ephesians 5:8–9 (NLT)   “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.”

  • Christ’s light shines into every corner of our lives: our motives, our habits, our relationships, our secret thoughts. And in that light, we begin to see:

    • Where we were deceived

    • What was enslaving us

    • What we were called to become

  • When the Spirit dwells in us, we’re not left to navigate life on our own. He reveals the depth of God's love, the power of grace, and the need for healing in on our lives as he guides us into all truth.

Closing Prayer:

Just as You met Saul on the road to Damascus, meet us in the midst of our daily lives. Shine Your light from into our hearts, So we may see clearly who You are and who we are called to be.

We confess,
There are places in us still fighting the darkness— Our thoughts, our motives, our habits, and our relationships. But now, by Your grace and mercy, we have light  to guide us. And we choose to live as people of light, vulnerable and exposed.

Holy Spirit,
Renew our minds and transform our hearts. Help us to no longer think as the world thinks, But to discern what is good, lasting, and pleasing to God.

Reveal in us:
Where we have been deceived, What has kept us enslaved, And what You are calling us to become, as we desire to be fully known and fully loved.

Guide us into all truth.
Let Your light make everything visible in our lives — That we may walk boldly, humbly, and faithfully in Your purpose.

So, like Saul, we desire to see your light, listen to the spirit, and let you lead our lives. These things we give to you today in Christ name we pray.
Amen.
